As controller at Amherst Partners, Emily is dedicated to providing meaningful financial and tax benefits to the team of finance professionals and their clients.
She has more than 13 years of experience in public accounting, ranging from audits of large privately held entities to tax preparation and review of individuals and the businesses they own.
Amherst is the perfect environment for me. I am able to work with a passionate group of like-minded financial professionals, and use my tax, accounting, and personnel management skills to support their endeavors. In return they support me personally and professionally – it is a win-win.
The majority of Emily’s recent focus has been on helping local middle market companies and their owners maximize their wealth through effective tax and financial planning strategies; so when the opportunity arose to provide Amherst with the level of help they needed as a growing business, she was up for the challenge.
I lived in Tokyo for four years and have traveled extensively in Asia and Europe.
I love puzzles and “putting things together.” Friends frequently call after trips to IKEA or Home Depot, and I genuinely enjoy helping!
I’ve always been interested in science and medicine; however, I have a difficult time being exposed to sick people or seeing blood. I think pharmacy would be another profession that would be a good fit for me, as it is interesting, challenging and something I could excel in.
