PC Server and Parts (“PC Server” or the “Company”), based in New Hudson, Michigan, is a value-added buyer, processor and re-seller of a broad array of prior-generation enterprise hardware components. The Company was founded in 2006 and is a downstream participant in the critical IT Asset Disposition (“ITAD”) industry. In addition, the Company processes electronic scrap for purposes of recycling certain materials and recovering precious metals.
Darin Zygner, President and majority owner of PC Server, sought to recapitalize the Company with a partner that would provide near-term liquidity and capital for future expansion.
PC Server engaged Amherst to lead the process of identifying and engaging prospective partners with the capital resources and sector expertise required to realize the growth potential of the Company.
Amherst conducted a highly-focused search process, contacting a select group of prospective investors with demonstrated experience in the ITAD industry and a history of success working in partnership with family-owned businesses.
The Company ultimately completed a transaction with PC Server Acquisition, Co. LLC, an investor group formed to facilitate this transaction.
Darin Zygner retained a meaningful ownership stake in the Company and continues to lead the business as it pursues opportunities to expand both within and outside of its current footprint.
