Situation

BeneSys, Inc. is one of the largest third-party benefit administrators in the midwestern United States that specializes in Taft Hartley employee benefit plans for unions and its members’ participants.

The sole shareholder’s objective was to seek an investor who would allow him to work for an additional 3-5 years plus provide capital to grow through acquisitions.

Solution

The Company engaged Amherst Partners (“Amherst”) to act as the exclusive financial advisor and to lead a sale process that would maximize value and identify the right partner with the expertise and resources to expand the Company’s market position.

Results

Amherst performed a controlled sale process with a limited number of private equity groups who focused on niche service businesses.

High Street Capital, based out of Chicago, IL, was selected as the investor who provided the best structure, terms, and vision for growth to the shareholder.
